Where can I find C programming language?

I want to learn C


I have purchased a tutorial book "Let us C"


I have a computer at home


I have downloaded compiler "turbo C"


but it's no working


I think C is not installed in my pc


Can anyone help me

Where can I find C programming language?
Turbo C is old, may not be compatible with today's 32-bit OS.
